Before a building is built, we can help
Bringing DIRTT in before you start building might sound backward. But we can help you find efficiencies for your core and shell. DIRTT brings real-estate savings with our quick-connect Passive Optical Networks (PON), our access floor and integrated vertical support in the walls. These things can give you maximum efficiencies when you’re considering how big your building should be.
Turn any existing building into a winner
Turn any class of building into the perfect space. DIRTT integrates without damage inside all building types. No matter what the outside is, your interiors reflect your goals, brand, culture and technology needs. Did we mention less flashy buildings are often in the best locations? And heritage buildings draw millennial employees? It’s true.
On top of it all, by reusing an existing building, you make an excellent choice for sustainability.
Pay less per square foot. Be where you want to be. Look good doing it.

Special Construction means Design Assist
Since DIRTT is considered Special Construction, we bring Design Assist during pre-construction.
Your local DIRTT team exposes where we’ll bring value. They deliver granular cost estimating, value engineering, construct-ability guidance and scheduling. Your architect retains responsibility for the design. Their drawings feed into ICE®, our intelligent software platform. You explore the design in real-time 3D and make decisions for the next steps. DIRTT then transitions into a multitrade sub-trade under your general contractor.
Helping other trades with their bids
Your DIRTT project manager assists the general contractor and other trades deliver appropriate bids reflecting fewer hours and less material. Most of the interior, walls, power, networks, cabinets and doors are built off-site. The trades putting in the mechanical, lighting, ceiling and flooring now work in a wide-open space with little material waste and fewer journeyman hours.
The job-site is safer and cleaner. Trades are on and off the project faster than ever before and can move onto the next job. It’s a more enjoyable way to work for them too. And their bids should reflect that.
