Group Health Cooperative was expanding their services with a new clinic on Madison College campus. Flexibility and a welcoming atmosphere were priorities. But it was the 3-month construction window that put on the pressure. DIRTT gave the project team immediate design and costing feedback. This empowered them to make decisions. "If we decided to make a change, it didn't hold up our workflow to get the clinic open," says Allison Philips, Nurse Practitioner and Site Chief for Group Health Cooperative.
They used every inch of the clinic and thought about the purpose. "You're able to use DIRTT to challenge why things were done the way they've always been done," says Becky McGuire, Practice Management Specialist, Group Health Cooperative. Healthcare is expected to move quickly. Yet, patients and staff find they have a little more time in the clinic because of it's efficient design.
It’s exciting to see what new technology and new healthcare delivery methods we can innovate through this space
