Production Scheduling Assistant
Location - Calgary Head Office
As the Production Scheduling Assistant, you will liaise with various departments to ensure optimal production scheduling standards are maintained. If you’re the right person you understand that effective communication by all departments and working together is critical to the success of any team! You will also be the administration support for the Production Manager and supervisor team.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- General administrative duties as required, providing support to staff.
- Monitoring of and continuous improvement of production scheduling.
- Accurate input of scheduling data, and analyzing of production schedule to maximize efficiencies.
- Proactively communicate with project management, production supervisors, and other departments to maintain and optimize production schedules.
- Ability to solve problems and identify root cause solutions.
- Updating calendars and Schedules.
- Maintain a work area that’s clean and impressive to visitors!
Requirements:

- MS Office and data base skills.

Materials Planner
Location - Calgary Head Office
DIRTT is currently looking for a Materials Planner to join our team!
As the Materials Planner you will work with the team and liaise with various other departments to ensure product is available while keeping inventory down.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Purchase product for architectural office interiors
- Sourcing new vendors
- Liaise closely with Product Development and Manufacturing to ensure steadfast communication within the organization
- Implementation of new products and maintenance of the database
- Materials requirement planning, capacity requirement planning, production activity control, JIT inventory control, statistics and total quality management activities
- Reduce costs and spending by controlling inventory levels and process improvement
- Coordinate supplier base to assure lead time, pricing, quality, and on-time complete delivery meets objectives
- Work directly with Accounts Payables to reduce and eliminate price variances
- Participate in Project teams, representing purchasing functions
- Maintain database and generate purchase orders, contracts and quotes
- Use proprietary software to determine material demands
- Participate daily in production meetings and scheduling to proactively react to project demands and adjust materials purchasing accordingly
Requirements:
- Post secondary education
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- MS Office and data base skills
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent people and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to think logically, analytically and solve problems.
- Ability to work with daily/monthly deadlines and time constraints on an ongoing basis.
