Reduce
Construction waste is inevitable when you build from scratch using raw materials. For every square foot of a space built, one pound of drywall is waste.
DIRTT manufactures in a controlled factory setting where recycling is easy and efficient and is just part of day-to-day business. There is actually very little to recycle because of the intelligent design software ICE®. It determines the best length of materials and provides the best cut-points to use all the materials.
Transportation pollution is alleviated at DIRTT by using lightweight packaging, efficient truckloads and fewer trades needed on the job site on a shorter schedule.
Reuse
That’s one of the main reasons to get movable walls – Reuse. But we like to take it further and let all the little things get in on the Reuse Game. Our Wall tiles can be switched out and repurposed. The wall cavities are accessible for changes to power and data needs. The entire system is designed to adjust, expand, contract, set up shop elsewhere… without damage, destruction or mess.
